We pride ourselves on offering quality accommodation with the main emphasis on high standards of comfort and cleanliness coupled with a friendly, personalised service. The B&B is completely anti allergenic which is the reason that we are sadly unable to welcome pets.
This cosy, characterful 300 year old,Grade II listed former Bakehouse has been tastefully restored and refurbished, whilst still retaining some original features and historical charm. It houses five ensuite rooms which cater for double, twin, family or single occupancy stays and is open all year round.
Guests may relax in our lounge in beautifully appointed surroundings. Our pretty, courtyard garden offers a secluded , sunny spot in which to take your ease. On site , secure parking is offered to all our guests.
The Old Bakehouse is located in the attractive market town of Colyton which dates back to Saxon times.
It makes a great base in which to have a quiet, relaxing break, or from which to explore the nearby World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.
It is also ideally situated to visit Lyme Regis (5 miles), the picturesque fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe (3 miles), or the Regency coastal town of Sidmouth (9miles). Our main local attraction Seaton Tramway, has its own station at Colyton, only a few minutes' walk away, and River Cottage HQ at Park Farm near Axminster is also close by. The local area is a great place to explore in all seasons, with plenty to do whatever the weather!

The Old Bakehouse is ideally situated for walkers being on the East Devon Way and the South West Coast path is just 3 miles away whilst Colyton is surrounded by many inland countryside walks.

Terms & Conditions
If you cancel your booking less than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival , your deposit will be retained, but may be used towards a future booking provided it is rebooked and taken within four months of the date of cancellation.
Any cancellation or reduction of the original booking within 15 days of the arrival date will be charged at 100% of the total booking cost.
In the event of a non-arrival and no notification from yourself we reserve the right to recover the full amount owing for your accommodation.
